“Stevie - I want to tell you that when you did my session you told me that Sonny my husband was saying go to the Doctor that my ovaries were not well. You said if I go now I will be fine. I just had my yearly physical three months prior and a mammogram and pap and blood tests and all was perfect. So I went to the OBGYN and asked her for a check up. I said I feel fine but I do spot at odd times. More like a drop small as a piece of salt.
They did a vaginal ultrasound and found my lining was abnormally thick so they did a biopsy. The results returned endometrial cancer. I was stunned. Even my Doctor was. I was sent to an obgyn oncologist surgeon and they did a radical robotic hysterectomy. They said all lymph nodes and uterine lining were clear of cancer and that I was stage 1 - Grade 1. No treatments needed. The surgery cured me. The surgeon said I was so lucky, as it’s a silent killer and if you didn’t tell me what you did, I would have never went. We are three sisters who lost our mom five years ago. We were connected to Stevie through a mutual friend when we were struggling to come to terms with what happened.
